Better late than never

Professionally published at last!

The timing was almost perfect. After about a three month wait, the Globe and Mail published my review of Gregory Maguire's latest novel set in the wonderful world of Oz, A Lion Among Men (I'll be posting it here anon, but figure that since the Globe paid for the piece, they should have exclusive access to it for a while). At the same time, this website was ready to go live on Saturday as well — or so I thought.

As it turned out, there were a few more code and content tweaks I wanted to get done before setting this renewed site loose on the world.

Which is what I'm doing now.

Welcome to the new(ish) Edifice Rex Online! Fact and fiction not for the faint of mind.

Comments are welcome, as are arguments, criticism and general debates about this, that and the other thing. If you sign up, you'll be able to post comments without a delay; anonymous comments will be filtered — I have a very strong loathing for ad hominem argument (not to mention spam) and want to nip that sort of thing in the bud. (And I reserve the right to moderate members as well, if you piss me off too much — but I'd rather not have to do it.

Right, that's about it. I'm off to figure out how to feed postings here to my Livejournal and Blogger accounts, among other preparatory items on my to-do list.

Spread the word!
